ISS STOXX is actively hiring for Software Engineer (Python, Database) to join our Team in Mumbai (Maharashtra), India.
Overview:
The ISS Market Intelligence (MI) business provides critical data, insight, and workflow solutions to global asset managers, insurance companies and distributors. Through its combination of proprietary integrated datasets, in-depth global research and trusted executive engagement, ISS MI delivers solutions that drive strategy and data-driven decision making across a wide range of financial products.
The ideal candidate should have a background of SQL, python, API and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications.
Responsibilities:
Build, enhance, and maintain multiple processes, systems and APIs.
Work on new initiatives and projects.
Provide technical support to business users of above systems.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with development and business team.
Willingness to learn and work on different technologies and tools.
. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Overall 3+ years of experience working in software development.
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience working with python.
Experience developing and working with REST APIs.
Willingness to learn modern development practices, frameworks, and patterns.
Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
Strong communication skills.
Self-starter and quick learner.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and thrive in fast paced, rapidly changing and complex environment.
Flexible and willing to work in 11/12 to 8/9 pm timings.
Good to have:
Familiarity with Capital markets and Mutual funds industry/data.
Familiarity with docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with python visualization libraries.
Basic familiarity with development methods and processes such as Agile Scrum.
