Software Engineer / Platform Engineer (Openshift/Kubernetes Specialist)
Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) is a key platform within Singapore Government Technology Stacks to allow government agencies to create high quality and reliable government services for citizens using commercial cloud services. GCC Engineering Team develops the required platform automations, processes, toolchain and policies/best practices to enable government agencies to develop, deploy and operate government services on the cloud in an agile yet secure manner.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, engineer, and automate the lifecycle of OpenShift clusters, treating infrastructure as software.
•Develop robust automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, and scaling using Ansible, Terraform, or Python.
•Implement and maintain OpenShift components such as OVN-Kubernetes networking and OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) storage.
•Engineer reliability and performance optimizations to ensure high availability of the container platform.
•Implement GitOps workflows for cluster configuration management.
Requirements:
•Experience: Intermediate: 3+ years
•Strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes internals.
•Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash or Python.
•Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
•Knowledge of storage (Ceph/ODF) and networking (SDN, OVN) in a containerized environment.
•Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools.
