This highly skilled mobile engineer, as part of the Digital Engineering team, will be responsible for building modern, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications. This role bridges design and engineering to deliver intuitive, reliable, and device-aware mobile experiences that support customer workflows and scale across multiple teams and products.

Scope of Position

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

The Job:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable mobile code in TypeScript and React Native, participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Build responsive and accessible mobile user interfaces that support both portrait and landscape orientations
  • Integrate and manage device-specific features such as Bluetooth peripherals, push notifications, vibration and haptic feedback, geolocation, camera access, sensors, and orientation changes
  • Develop and maintain reusable mobile components and shared UI patterns to ensure consistency across applications and platforms
  • Translate product requirements and design mockups into functional, mobile-first experiences optimized for both iOS and Android
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions
  • Optimize mobile application performance, battery usage, and responsiveness, including efficient handling of large data sets and background tasks
  • Implement automated testing for mobile workflows using tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or similar frameworks
  • Manage mobile release processes, including building, signing, and submitting applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines
  • Evaluate emerging mobile technologies, libraries, and frameworks and recommend solutions that improve application capabilities and developer productivityAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by direct leader or Company management.

  • Travel Requirements: 10% travel to support training, meetings, etc. as needed.

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the [insert office] location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional front-end development experience, including   including at least 2 years focused on React Native and TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with modern build tools such as Vite, Parcel, or Webpack
  • Experience working in monorepo environments using Nx or Turborepo
  • Proficiency with schema validation libraries such as Zod or equivalent tools
  • Experience building interactive data visualizations using D3, Plotly, or similar libraries
  • Experience with modern state management patterns and front-end testing frameworks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to browser performance and UI reliability
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience contributing to design systems or reusable component libraries
  • Deep knowledge of UI performance optimization techniques
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Passion for creating rich, intuitive, and innovative user experiences
