We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and support of software systems. Successful candidates should be skilled in software development, system-level architecture, and Agile methodologies.
In this role, the candidate will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing software solutions that enable mission critical systems and applications. Responsibilities include creating high quality software to enhance system performance and scalability, implementing automation to streamline workflows and processes, and developing tools to support data integrity and secure software operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of system level software architecture, how software components interact within complex systems, and how to translate customer needs into actionable development tasks.
A solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and best practices is critical, including version control, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). The Software Engineer will work within an Agile team supporting software products, prioritizing enhancements and bug fixes, and managing tasks efficiently to ensure smooth delivery of quality software.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Level 3 or 4 Software Engineer supporting the Intelligence & Sensing BU. This position would be based in Aurora, CO.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer Software (Level 3): Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relative experience.
Sr. Principal Engineer Software (Level 4): Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relative experience.
Active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility required at time of application.
Development experience with C++
Experience with Python
Experience with Redhat Linux to enable development of software in the following languages: C++, Python
Experience with the full SDLC
Experience with Agile and the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)
Automated Testing (Robot Framework or Behave)
Experience with Gitlab CI/CD

Experience with Command and Control Missions
