About the job

This position is needed to build a high-scale, mission-critical orchestrator that automates the lifecycle of billions of records. You will solve the "hard problems" of distributed state management, ensuring that when a customer asks to be forgotten, our systems never forget to execute.

We are building the industry’s most sophisticated deletion orchestration platform to ensure global compliance and automated data retention across hundreds of downstream microservices. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design, code, and debug software.
  • Lead the technical design while ensuring our architecture is documented, peer-reviewed, and built for the long term.
  • Supervising and overseeing all the technical aspects of projects.
  • Work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Be the gatekeeper to ensure high quality and bug free code is always deployed to production.
  • Investigating software-related complaints and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal software performance.
  • Attend team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues.
  • Identify bottlenecks in our current system and fix the root causes.
  • Provide training and mentor other Engineers.
  • Recommend new technologies to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Work closely with other technical teams, Chief Architect and Product management to strategize and productionize new technical initiatives.

Required:

  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience in backend software engineering, specifically building high-scale distributed systems or data pipelines.
  • Systems Thinking: Deep understanding of distributed state management, eventual consistency, and workflow orchestration
  • Proven experience in high-level programming languages, like GoLang and Java
  • Deep technical understanding of needle moving technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, Orkes, Redis, PostgresQL, Data Lakes, low-latency data stores, multiple data warehouses, datadog.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platform.
  • Operational Mindset: Proven track record of improving system reliability and reducing on-call burden through better engineering, not just better documentation.
  • Influence & Communication: Excellent ability to work cross-functionally. You can influence other engineering teams to prioritize compliance tasks by making the technical path forward clear and simple.
  • Demonstrated technical breadth and depth as evidenced by papers, code, and/or presentations
  • Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle from reviewing requirements to debugging complex systems in production
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team. Will take the initiative to drive projects forward even under ambiguous circumstances.
  • Comfortable operating in a CI/CD environment with infrastructure-as-code and observability tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in Agile methodology.

Location

 This role will be remote, and based in Bangalore, India(Remote option for : Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, New Delhi)

Travel
