Challenge
We are currently supporting a
U.S.-based company seeking a
Software Engineer for a
temporary 4-month engagement, focused on feature development and modernization initiatives.
🔧 What You’ll Do
Develop new features and modernize existing ones across backend and frontend systems.
Work primarily with Java and Spring on the backend and Angular on the frontend.
Adopt a Shift Left development approach, taking ownership of testing and validating solution correctness.
Collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure code quality, stability, and performance.
Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to boost productivity and efficiency.
🎯 Required Skills
Good understanding of Java and the Spring framework.
Experience with Angular for frontend development.
Familiarity with Shift Left development practices and ownership of testing.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver within a fixed-term engagement.
Clear and effective English communication skills (written and verbal).
💡 Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with at least one relational database and SQL.
Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
Previous experience working in modernization or legacy system improvement projects.
