In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing the SketchUp web platform, directly influencing the user experience for millions of designers and shaping the future of browser-based 3D modeling. You will transition from academic concepts to real-world application, building high-performance interfaces that bridge the gap between creative imagination and digital reality.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
• Develop cutting-edge client-side code using Vue.js and TypeScript to enhance the SketchUp web experience.
• Build and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces that serve a massive global community of creatives.
• Spearhead the stability of web applications by implementing sophisticated unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate daily within an agile team environment to brainstorm technical solutions and plan innovative new features.
• Fix complex bugs and roll up your sleeves to tackle the next big challenge in 3D web technology.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Currently enrolled in a BS/BA degree (at least 2 years completed) in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in web fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks like React, combined with TypeScript knowledge.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of object-oriented development.
• A quality-first mindset with an interest in test-driven development (TDD) and software best practices.
Bonus Points For
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and project management tools like Jira.
• Personal or academic projects that showcase a genuine passion for building web applications or 3D graphics.
• An active interest in the latest trends within the web ecosystem and 3D design technology.
