ISS STOXX is actively hiring for Software Engineer in Test to join our QBIT Team (Quality Assurance Benchmarking and Independent Testing) in Mumbai (Goregaon East), India.
Overview:
This role demands leadership in Quality Assurance (QA) and Test Automation, encompassing the entire spectrum from design to execution, and ongoing support for testing across diverse projects within ISS STOXX applications and services. We are looking for a candidate with a keen eye for detail, a focus on objectives, and the ability to efficiently manage and execute multiple tasks autonomously and within established timelines.
Responsibilities:
Functional / Manual Testing:
Candidate will be responsible for Manual / Functional Testing
Reviewing requirements, creating, executing and documenting tests cases
Plan, design and document various test suites for the applications under consideration (including creating test data whenever required.)
Implement, execute, support, and deliver accurate test results in a timely manner
QA environment management and operation – deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting issues
Provide technical support to other team members on projects.
API Testing and Validation:
Perform API sanity checks and validations using tools like Postman or equivalent. Also adapt to the in-house developed tools for API testing.
Work with various API endpoints (XML, JSON, GraphQL) to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
Coordination and Collaboration:
Work with Product Management and Development teams to ensure products are being built based on the business specifications and requirements
Collaborate with members of global teams involved in the projects.
Review product release artifacts, take up deployments for QA environments & coordinate with Dev team when required. Also collaborate with Application Management teams for deployments in higher environments.
Non-Functional Testing:
Candidate will be responsible for developing/maintaining Java automation framework for ISS Apps using Java-Selenium, Cypress or similar tools and technologies. Assist in test case writing for automation suite and execution of automated test suite.
Candidate is responsible to build and maintain QA environment including managing CI/CD pipelines
Create, execute and manage other forms of testing like Security Testing, Performance Testing and other non - functional test as per the project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline required
Experience of minimum 4+ years in Functional-cum-Non Functional testing.
Candidate needs to have sound knowledge of programming language like Java, Python or similar Technologies
Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC and has aptitude to identify bugs and strong desire for Quality
Candidate should have good RDBMS and SQL knowledge
Knowledge on Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools preferred
Excellent Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Candidate should possess Entrepreneurial mindset and should have “CAN DO” attitude
