Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Duties: Develop application web-based applications in object-oriented languages. Develop and APIs for interactions between computer applications. Develop procedural automation in scripted and application form. Develop application services. Understand and build automated tests to validate implemented code. Retrieve and process data using structured query language and Elastic DSL. Decompose functional specifications to discreet technical tasks. Accurately estimate the time to implement technical tasks. Track assigned tasks from scheduling, to implementation, and to completion providing period updates. Analyze and resolve application issues using log output, application and operating system metrics, and testing methodologies.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills Required: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using object-oriented languages. Experience implementing unit tests for code base. Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language. Experience refactoring legacy codes to follow object-oriented programming paradigm. Experience fetching data using SQL. Experience developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end web applications. Experience debugging code. Experience using front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. Experience using Git version control systems for collaborative software development. Experience working with data transfer over high-latency, low-bandwidth connections. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
