Software Engineer III

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity. Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs. Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolve technical issues as necessary. Keep abreast of new technology developments. Complete bug fixes. Perform other duties as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

  • Also required is: 2 years of experience: working with data manipulation languages, understanding of data modeling principles, and working with complex data models; in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net; utilizing industry best practices — code coverage; working well with internal and external technology resources; writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity; utilizing software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall); working with data storage subsystems; working in test-driven development; and completing moderately complex bug fixes.

  • Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.

  • Experience can be concurrent.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $77,300 - $128,700. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
