Job Description:


This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Overview:

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years proven hands-on experience in IBM Sterling Integrator 6.x or above, Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), SSP-Configuration Manager, SSP-External Authenticator and Sterling Integrator Implementations, Installations, and patches
  • Prior experience with IBM SI 6.x upgrade
  • Extensive knowledge of BPML - Business Process Development, Knowledge of XPath, XML and XSLT
  • Experience with Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting, Networking/LTM/GTM, design and architecture of authentication services
  • Knowledge and understanding of setting up of SFTP, AS2 and Connect Direct transmissions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related field

  • Hands on experience and involvement in large and complex projects
  • Demonstrates ability to identify root causes to solve complex problems
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
