Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

LOB Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Python and React to join our Global Markets Trade Horizontal technology team. This team provides common, standardized capabilities used across multiple Global Markets asset classes, enabling consistency, reuse, and efficiency across front‑to‑back trade workflows. The ideal candidate is a strong full‑stack engineer with a solid understanding of modern engineering practices and the ability to build scalable, reliable components that support critical trading functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Design, build, and enhance standardized Line of Business (LOB) wrappers that promote common patterns, reuse, and uniformity across Global Markets applications.
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancements and modernization efforts within the Quartz Financial Stack, supporting both functional and technical improvements.
  • Develop and maintain trade horizontal services, shared components, and tooling leveraged across multiple asset classes.
  • Build performant and intuitive front end interfaces using React.js.
  • Design and implement resilient and scalable back end services using Python.
  • Collaborate with trading, product, and technology partners to deliver high impact solutions in a fast paced environment.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, ensuring high code quality, observability, and operational resilience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in both Python and React with strong proficiency in building production systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including Object Oriented Methodology, microservices, REST, CI/CD pipelines and containerization
  • Experience working with distributed systems, event driven architectures, and real time or near real time data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior Quartz experience is a strong plus, including familiarity with Quartz components, LOB wrappers, and integration patterns.
  • Experience in Global Markets, trading systems, or other financial services domains.
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle, risk, market data, or pricing systems.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
