Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Position Summary:

Looking for a Senior Hands on SRE/DevOps Architect for our SRE team deployed to the electronic execution and algo platforms across Equities, Futures, FX and Options asset classes. Will be required to automate and enhance processes for supporting the various trading applications in our Algo Trading, Liquidity Seeking and Matching Engines spaces. You will take an important role aiming to improve quality and efficiency of the SRE team, working with multiple partners across technology and business.

  • Building and implementing new and existing automation tools
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development, build, test and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure from identified vulnerabilities
  • Application and process configuration management
  • Provide documentation and training on how to properly use the automated tools and processes
  • Collaborate with core Tools team, development teams and business to ease the applications into new requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Trading Platforms
  • Expert as an SRE / DevOps Architect Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
  • Expert with GIT, Bitbacuket, Jenkins, JIRA, CI/CD workflows
  • Expert with shell scripts, python or other scripting languages
  • Ability to manage hierarchical and complex configuration structures

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
