As a Software Engineer III, you will act as a technical domain owner, defining, developing, and deploying high-complexity solutions that power large-scale operations and embed deep AI-driven insights. You will leverage your mastery within the Salesforce platform and actively set the technical standards for robust integrations, advanced microservices, and scalable cloud-based services.
You will serve as the primary technical mentor and quality advocate for junior and mid-level engineers, collaborate closely with Product Management and stakeholders, and provide the technical guidance necessary to translate complex requirements into innovative and maintainable software. What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly complex, scalable Salesforce applications and integrations using advanced Apex, complex Lightning Web Components (LWC), and strategic declarative solutions.
- Own the implementation standards for robust back-end services, APIs, and complex automation workflows utilizing Node.js, Python, and scalable cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), ensuring resilience and maintainability.
- Define the strategy and execute the building of reliable, high-performance data pipelines and integration processes (ETL/ELT) on the Azure platform and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Lead complex integrations between Salesforce and multiple enterprise platforms, defining the data contracts and engineering standards for REST/SOAP APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Own the technical delivery and expansion of Agentforce capabilities to create mission-critical employee experiences, focusing on advanced features, performance optimization, and stability.
- Drive the technical implementation and adherence to best practices for integrating AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs) into critical business workflows, focusing on efficiency and measurable outcomes.
- Define and enforce engineering standards for the implementation of Einstein Copilot, predictive analytics, and generative AI features, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, and production-ready.
- Serve as a key technical contributor to the MLOps lifecycle, focusing on integrating and deploying models securely into production systems.
- Set technical quality standards for and optimize high-performance front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., advanced React.js/Next.js).
- Serve as the primary reviewer and technical quality advocate, leading rigorous peer code and design reviews for Software Engineers I and II to ensure adherence to standards, performance, and best practices.
- Define and own the end-to-end integration and system-level test strategy for large, complex initiatives.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve the most highly complex production issues across the full technology stack, establishing documentation and guidelines for lower-level personnel.
- Mentor and provide deep technical guidance to multiple junior and mid-level Software Engineers, driving continuous technical growth and elevating team capabilities through code and design excellence.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate strategic requirements into clear, technically sound execution plans.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of focused, progressive software engineering experience, including significant technical ownership or domain expertise in a corporate setting.
- Expert-level mastery of object-oriented programming principles and 5+ years of hands-on experience with multiple major programming languages (Apex, Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or C#).
- Deep working knowledge and practical experience demonstrating a knack for leveraging generative AI productivity tools for software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) strongly preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency with modern web development frameworks (React.js, Next.js, or similar) and mastery of front-end performance optimization and complex state management.
- Expert working experience (4+ years) with cloud environments (Azure or AWS) and proven ability to define and enforce professional-level DevOps strategy (Git, advanced CI/CD pipelines, automated testing).
- Proven track record (3+ years) of leading the successful implementation and integration of AI/ML or automation projects in a business-critical environment.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification or multiple advanced/consultant certifications is highly desired.
- Exceptional analytical and technical ownership skills with the ability to drive the execution of complex technical solutions.
- Superior ability to communicate complex technical designs and execution plans effectively across all levels of the organization.
Bonus Points For
- Proven experience as a Technical Domain Owner overseeing large-scale, enterprise-level Salesforce deployments, including advanced governance limit mitigation and asynchronous processing.
- Expertise in applying Einstein Copilot, Data Cloud, or similar AI-enabled Salesforce/CRM tools to solve the most complex, business-critical problems.
- Deep familiarity with the MLOps lifecycle and experience securely deploying machine learning models into production systems.
- Mastery of Salesforce DevOps methodologies and advanced CI/CD automation.
- Proven track record of mentoring and elevating the technical skills of peers and junior engineers through code review and technical guidance.
The typical hourly pay rate for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
$50.00 - $73.56
