What the Role Is
Babylist is hiring Software Engineer III's to join our engineering organization. You'll work on systems that power a $1B+ GMV marketplace, serving over 700k families and over 10 million users annually. Our engineering teams build everything from advertising platforms and commerce tools to registry systems and health products.

Career Growth Through Rotations
At Babylist, Software Engineer III’s participate in our Squad Shuffle Rotation Program—a structured way to accelerate your career growth. Every six months, we evaluate rotation opportunities that allow you to work across different teams and problem domains. When you rotate, you'll join a new team for at least 6-12 months, gaining experience in new areas of the business including several different product teams, operational systems, or infrastructure.
These rotations help you build adaptability, collaborate with diverse teams, and demonstrate impact across multiple contexts—all critical skills for advancing your career. Not everyone rotates every cycle; decisions are made thoughtfully based on your growth trajectory and team needs. Transitions include 30-day onboarding plans and dedicated manager support to set you up for success.

About Compensation
We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:
US: $156,040 to $187,248
Canada: $178,300 to $193,100 CAD
Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.

Interview Integrity
During the interview process, we're evaluating your individual problem-solving skills, creativity, and approach to challenges. While AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor are part of your daily toolkit once you join Babylist, all interviews, assessments, and take-home assignments must be completed independently.
You may not use AI tools, third-party services, coaching platforms, or content-farming services during any part of the interview process unless we explicitly permit it. We will clearly communicate when AI tools are allowed for specific assessments.
