Software Engineer II

This position operates with a high degree of independence across development and maintenance activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Maintenance
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle of software applications and business process optimization projects
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications, including upgrades and patches
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance challenges
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and quality standards are met
Design & Implementation
  • Assist in gathering user requirements through analysis and stakeholder discussions
  • Complete design, development, testing, and debugging tasks within a team environment
  • Develop and implement solutions for business optimization, including system enhancements and upgrades
Collaboration & Support
  • Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional partners to deliver solutions
  • Provide feedback and guidance to less experienced engineers
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to team-based problem solving and project planning activities
Continuous Improvement & DevOps
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support system stability and CI/CD processes
  • Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies
  • Maintain and update system documentation and development artifacts
Technical Growth & Best Practices
  • Apply advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project lifecycle principles
  • Utilize a variety of programming languages, web technologies, and scripting tools
  • Follow coding standards, best practices, and organizational guidelines

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2–4 years of experience with the Guidewire application  working in  software analysis, development, and coding role.
  • Guidewire Cloud certified up to the Olos release of Policy Center.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development frameworks
  • Guidewire Tools & Technologies: Gosu, PCF, Product Model,   GX Models, Guidewire Studio, Document Assistant, Messaging Plugins,
  • Programming & Scripting: Gosu, Java,  Python, SQL, PL/SQL,, JavaScript
  • Experience with web technologies, scripting tools, and development protocols…. 
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
Core Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Guidewire cloud applications
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

 

Pay Range:

  • $76,600.00 - $106,450.00  

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
