Job description summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer II (L2) to build new features while owning the reliability of mission‑critical production systems. This role blends feature development with sustaining and escalation engineering and is intentionally AI‑forward, leveraging agentic AI tools such as Claude Code to accelerate the SDLC while maintaining strong engineering judgment and accountability. 

Essential functions

  • Design, implement, and deliver new software features from concept through production.
  • Own and sustain production systems, including participation in escalation and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, support, and operations teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Analyze root causes of complex issues and drive long‑term reliability and maintainability improvements.
  • Apply agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development, refactoring, and debugging with appropriate human oversight.
  • Assist in agile planning activities by breaking down epics, creating stories and tasks with appropriate time estimates
  • Ensure delivery of work items on time, to specification and at high quality
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the products, make suggestions for enhancements
  • Identify process improvements to optimize the software delivery methods in the team

Skills and experience

  • Engineering graduate in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in software development and maintenance of production systems.
  • Strong software design, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, databases, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and AWS concepts.
  • Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools and agentic workflows, including Claude Code.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global, collaborative team.
