Cloudera Data Engineering (CDE) is our next-generation cloud-native service built on Apache Spark and Apache Airflow. It enables orchestration, advanced pipeline monitoring, and visual troubleshooting, streamlining ETL processes across both on-premises and public-cloud environments. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join Satya’s team to help build this all-inclusive toolset.

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer you will:

• Architect & Scale: Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance Data Engineering platform using Big Data staples like Apache Spark and Hadoop.

• Deliver End-to-End Experiences: Partner closely with UI/UX designers, platform engineers, and Product Management to build seamless, intuitive user interfaces for complex data workflows.

• Drive Engineering Excellence: Collaborate with Field Engineering and external partners to ensure the platform meets the evolving needs of global enterprise analytics teams.

• Bridge Frontend & Backend: Utilize a deep understanding of both modern UI patterns and robust backend infrastructure to deliver high-quality, high-performance code.

We’re excited about you if you have:

• 4+ years of industry experience architecting and developing end-to-end enterprise software with a focus on scalability.

• Frontend Mastery: Proven expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Modern UI Patterns: Professional experience with RxJS (Reactive Programming) and a solid grasp of complex UI design patterns.

• Core Fundamentals: Strong programming foundations in Data Structures and Algorithms. Proficiency in Java or Go (Golang) is highly preferred.

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Design Quality: Expertise in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and experience with UI testing frameworks.

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.

You may also have:

• Data Visualization: Working knowledge of D3.js for building complex data charts and visual troubleshooting tools.

• AI-Assisted Development: Experience using AI tools to increase development efficiency and code quality.

• Open Source Profile: Recognized contributions to open-source projects.
