CMT is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to help our team produce scalable software solutions to reliably collect and manage data from sensors on smartphones and connected devices in vehicles. In this role, you will design architecture, build front end applications, and build features and applications that meet the needs of our customers. CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Software Engineer II, Cloud who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better! 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with development teams and product managers to brainstorm software solutions
  • Design both client-side and server-side architectures 
  • Create visually appealing front-end applications 
  • Develop and maintain efficient databases and applications 
  • Create effective APIs 
  • Perform software testing to ensure performance and responsiveness 
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance software 
  • Implement security and data protection measures 
  • Design mobile-responsive features and applications 
  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Computer Science or related field 
  • 2+ years of relevant working experiences in web application development and programming
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern JS frameworks like React or Angular 
  • Familiarity with the entire web application stack, including APIs and databases
  • Knowledge of Python 
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly 
  • Ability to learn quickly

Nice to Haves: 

  • Understanding of web security and session management 
  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics and analytics tools
