Overview:

As Quality Engineer - I, this role requires you to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the team. This may include developing test strategies, designing test documents, identifying bugs, and reviewing testing reports. You will be participating in functional, regression and Database testing of software products.

What you will do:

  • Take part in the design phases of new software/product feature development and promote continuous testing to guarantee an error free final product (20%-time allocation)
  • Identifying potential quality issues and report them to development team. (20%-time allocation)
  • Responsible for identification of test requirements from defined specifications, mapping test case requirements, and designing test coverage plans. (20%-time allocation)
  • Executing both manual and automated test cases (15%-time allocation)
  • Automating test cases using existing Test Automation framework (10%-time allocation)
  • Ensure that test scripts/cases are always up to date (10%-time allocation)
  • Ensure proper documentation of all executions and prepare detailed failure reports (5%-time allocation)
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of software industry experience and successful track record in product testing.
  • BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
  • Worked on defect reporting tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, VSTS etc.
  • Expertise in creating testcases using Test cases management tools such as VSTS, Zephyr etc.
  • Experience in testing tools like Selenium, Playwright
  • Worked on Agile methodology for software testing and development
  • Worked interdependently across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Composed clear and concise testing documentation
  • API testing using RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI
  • Hands on with UI automation tools like Selenium, Playwright
  • Good knowledge of Testing Concepts
  • Good quantitative and analytical abilities
