Process Overview*
The FRCIS (Fraud Reporting Controls and Information Services) is Fraud and Claims’ analytics and reporting environment, based of SQLServer platform, supporting 85+ sources of records with business-driven rationales that logically combine disparate data sets to achieve an understanding for potential fraud and related data. The raw and evolved data enable business users to instill preventative and proactive measures to improve on business processes with the intent to prevent fraud and identify trends and enabling dynamic reporting for Operations, Strategies, Analytics and Regulatory business teams. This includes Loss Tracking, a critical component to the overall health of the Fraud & Claims portfolio that supports the ORCIT reporting platform.
The FRCIS application provides a 360-degree view of the Fraud & Claim products, calculates various customer indicators and leverages over 85+ SORs data to enable Fraud Reporting Controls and Information Services on SQLServer and SDP(Hadoop)
Job Description*
We are seeking a mid-level Data Science and Engineering professional with 4+ years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on Hadoop and Unix environments. The candidate will work on FRCIS, supporting the development of a unified SDP and user interface platform for consumer applications, fraud detection, and AML tracking. Key responsibilities include working within the Hadoop ecosystem, ensuring system stability and performance, and supervising daily batch processes. Strong hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hive, Spark, and Impala, along with the ability to handle large datasets, is required. The role also involves executing development tasks assigned by CIO leads, generating business reports, providing required data, and supporting ad hoc requests. The ideal candidate will deliver production support and demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality software delivery, complex problem solving, and continuous process improvement through innovative ideas.
