Position Overview
The Software Engineer will help build Autodesk Fusion, a cutting-edge platform for design and manufacturing professionals. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role focuses on hands-on implementation, agile development, and contributions to software architecture. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, UX, and QA—the Software Engineer ensures delivery of high-quality, reliable software that aligns with Autodesk’s mission to provide continuous value to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement features for Autodesk Fusion using modern programming practices.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
Typical projects: Enhancing modeling capabilities, integrating cloud services, and improving application performance.
Technologies used: C++, Python, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools.
Role type: Individual contributor within a collaborative engineering team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and deliver high-quality results.
Travel: Minimal, primarily for team meetings or conferences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based architectures and distributed systems.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software or design/manufacturing workflows.
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
Background in performance optimization and large-scale application development.
Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
