Job Summary:

The Data Management Engineering team is seeking an experienced and versatile Full Stack Developer with mentoring capabilities to support and guide development teams across multiple client technology platforms to join as Assistant Vice President, Software Engineer for the Data Management Foundations Team.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications across client and server technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to guide junior developers while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

 Key Responsibilities for Software Engineer:

  • Design and implement scalable web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication layers.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Review code for quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with DBAs to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Work with IIS for web server configuration and deployment.
  • Assist in job scheduling and ETL processes (SSIS packages).
  • Manage code repositories using Git and support branch/merge for code
  • Support SSO implementation and stay updated on evolving authorization paradigms.
  • Analyze complex issues in code and data, providing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate persistence and ownership in resolving technical challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and identify how Data Solutions can support their objectives.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to solicit and manage requests that equitably handle competing priorities across business teams.
  • Manage incremental deliverables while centralizing important information so that everyone’s always on the same page. Spotlight issues that need attention. Proactively manage changes and issues.
  • Visualize dependencies across programs, projects and BAU work, and applications – understand relationships and optimize delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development preferably in Banking & Financial Services sector

Technical Skills Required

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap, Material Design)
  • AJAX, RxJS for asynchronous operations
  • MVC frameworks, Angular, Node.js
  • C# .NET (v12.0 and above), .NET Core
  • ORM concepts with ServiceStack and Entity Framework
  • SQL Server, T-SQL, database constraints, triggers
  • Basic UML and EDR modeling understanding
  • IIS configuration knowledge
  • Git source control
  • Job scheduling concepts
  • ETL processes using SSIS
  • Proven experience with .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Must have experience with relational Databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server etc.

Preferred skills:

  • UI/UX experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and mentor others
  • Familiarity with SSO and Active Directory
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $121k - $146k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
