Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, test, and operate distributed services and high‑throughput APIs that support mission‑critical CX workloads. You’ll pair strong systems thinking with hands‑on coding, automation, and observability to deliver durable, scalable software. You’ll also mentor engineers, lead by example on engineering rigor, and help evolve our architecture toward cloud‑native patterns.

About the Team

The LiveVox LVP team builds and maintains the core platform capabilities that power high‑scale outbound and omnichannel CX experiences in the NICE CXone environment. We focus on reliability, performance, and cloud‑ready architecture that supports large‑volume customer interactions across multiple services. We modernize services, enhance scalability and resiliency, and provide shared platform components that speed up delivery across product teams.

  5. Deliver high quality, sustainable, maintainable code.

  8. Leads team or mentors other developers as needed.
  9. Provides critical technical capabilities to the team and evangelizes those skills to others.
  10. Functions as a Technical or Team Lead as needed.
  11. Follow established department procedures, policies, and processes.

Have you got what it takes? (Required Qualifications)

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; solid grasp of OO design and common design patterns.
  • Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot for backend services.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
  • Experience building REST APIs and working in a CI/CD environment.
  • Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills; a collaborative team player.
  • Working knowledge of unit testing and software quality practices.
  • Working knowledge of common design patterns
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication

Bonus / Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira, confluence, etc
  • Experience with Linux systems, including as dev desktop
  • Experience with automation/testing tools
  • Experience with Sonarqube
  • Experience with/knowledge of agile development processes
  • Experience(s) as a technical or team lead or equivalent experience
  • Kotlin or Micronaut experience; reactive programming where appropriate.
  • Streaming & async messaging (Kafka, Kinesis stream); event-driven architectures.
  • Deep AWS knowledge (EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, S3); IaC with Terraform.
  • Observability at scale (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
  • Contract testing, TestContainers, consumer-driven contracts.
  • gRPC and/or GraphQL alongside REST where it makes sense.
