Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain critical backend services and infrastructure components using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, focusing on automation and efficiency.
- Deploy, manage, and optimise services within a large-scale AWS environment, leveraging a wide range of AWS services.
- Participate in the design and implementation of robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide infrastructure support and guidance, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
- Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of security best practices across the backend infrastructure.
- Actively engage in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to development workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and adhere to established coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously learn and improve your skills in backend development, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-6+ years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of backend development concepts, including API design, data management, and system architecture.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on internal stakeholder support.
- Understanding of security best practices within cloud environments.
