Role Summary

JLL is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer 2 (P2) professionals to join our Workplace Digital Technology (WDT) team in Bengaluru, India. As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support JLL’s digital workplace platforms. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features while contributing to long-term code health and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using modern web technologies and cloud-native architectures.

  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Champion “shift-left” quality practices by embedding testing early in the development lifecycle.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

  • Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

  • Adhere to JLL’s security, compliance, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience.

  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., C#) and one frontend framework (e.g., Angular, React).

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and relational or NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).

  • Prior experience in real estate, facilities management, or enterprise SaaS products.
