We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a talented team of software developers, administrators, and QA analysts. This role is central to driving innovation, improving system architecture, and refining development practices that enable our business to scale efficiently and achieve its growth objectives.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical expertise, business acumen, and collaborative leadership. This person will partner with executive leadership, middle management, and end users to understand business objectives, translate them into actionable technology goals, and deliver high-quality solutions that create measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary technology team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
Oversee the planning, development, and delivery of software solutions that meet business requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, define success metrics, and align outcomes with strategic goals.
Implement best practices in DevOps, code reviews, QA automation, and release management.
Drive continuous improvement in system architecture, process efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.
Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that add value to the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (master’s preferred).
7+ years of progressive software development experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management position.
Strong background in software development methods (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD) and architectural principles.
Proven ability to manage technical teams across disciplines (e.g., developers, admins, QA).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated success in process improvement, system optimization, and technical project delivery.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Exposure to automated testing frameworks and DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with data integration, APIs, and workflow automation.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
