Position Summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Intern Program. This exciting opportunity offers a paid, 10-week experience for selected undergraduate students. The program will run from June 1 to August 7.

Eligible students will be seniors or recent graduates, possess U.S. work authorization, and be able to work full-time on a 5-day-per-week on-site schedule. Additionally, participation in this program requires that you be located in the United States for the duration of the engagement.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The application window is open until March 15, 2026; however, it may close earlier if all available roles are filled. Applications submitted after the application window or once a role is closed/projects are full will not be considered.

Role and Responsibilities

About the Team: 

The Network Tool Automation Team is a dynamic and innovative group at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions to streamline the commissioning and auditing processes for Samsung network products. By leveraging advanced automation technologies, the team enhances operational efficiency, minimizes manual intervention, and ensures seamless integration of network devices. The team's work is pivotal in maintaining the reliability and performance of Samsung's network infrastructure, which is critical to the company's success in the telecommunications industry.

Key Focus: 

A key focus of the team is the development of an Agentic AI System, a groundbreaking initiative designed to assist in troubleshooting network issues on a day-to-day basis. This innovative system employs artificial intelligence to analyze network data, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights, significantly reducing downtime and improving overall network performance. The Agentic AI System is a testament to the team's commitment to leveraging the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Automated Scripts: Develop and optimize automated scripts to enhance existing tools and processes, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various departments to address complex network challenges, ensuring that solutions are comprehensive and effective.
  • Utilize Advanced Technologies: Leverage the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics to continuously improve the team's solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of Samsung's network infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the Agentic AI System: Play a key role in the development of the Agentic AI System, gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technologies and contributing to its evolution.
  • Work on Transformative Projects: Engage in projects that are at the cutting edge of technology, helping to evolve Samsung's network infrastructure and make a substantial impact in the telecommunications industry.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferred academic fields of study: Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, or any related field.
  • Rising Seniors or Recent Grads strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, React, Django, FastAPI, SQL/NoSQL databases, Unix OS, and Bash scripting.
  • Experience building Agentic AI solutions.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Effective multitasking skills.
  • Onsite collaboration experience.
