Micron Technology in Taoyuan is presenting an outstanding chance for a Software Development Engineer to become part of our vibrant team. Here, you’ll be leading innovation, working to turn information into meaningful intelligence and support faster, smarter communication globally!

Serving as a software engineer at Micron, you will prepare, build, maintain, and support both internally developed and third-party applications. You will review software requirements, develop and roll out solutions, document and test systems, and provide consistent support during the software development lifecycle.

You will demonstrate strong functional and technical skills. You will adapt across multiple development technologies and integrate them to deliver effective, scalable solutions. You will have a proven track record of building high-quality software. You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts and deliver business value while minimizing defects, downtime, or performance degradation.

Responsibilities:

• Build, develop, and implement software solutions that meet our high standards of quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, and ship new features.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of backend service development, including RESTful web services (e.g., NodeJS, C#, C++).
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (preferably .NET, C#, Java, or C++).
• Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with current web technologies including Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and associated frameworks.
• Enthusiasm for learning about container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
• Strong motivation to learn new tools and technologies independently.
• Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Interest in exploring AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or other code generation/AI-assisted development resources (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Tabnine).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with C++ in backend systems, performance-critical services, or large-scale applications.
• Experience supporting production systems, including incident troubleshooting and operational support.
• Ability to collaborate optimally across teams, sites, and global regions.
