Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Software Development Engineer will gather and analyze requirements. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.
You Will:
Design, code, and test APIs, data storage solutions, and integration with third-party services.
Identify and fix issues or bugs.
Work with the team to quickly resolve problems and maintain system stability.
Deliver features and projects on time.
Actively participate in team meetings, discussing progress, challenges, and potential solutions with other team members and stakeholders.
Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest backend technologies, tools, and best practices, refining skills.
Receive guidance and mentorship from more senior engineers.
You Have:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with software design, development, version control, testing, implementation, and debugging.
1 year of experience with delivering high-quality, high-readability, and scalable software solutions;
1 year of experience with writing comprehensive test suites with optimal coverage;
1 year of experience with HTTP protocols, Git, JSON, Rest APIs, Postgres, SQL, and unit testing suits; and
1 year of experience with React, Javascript, and Java.
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $117,749.00 - $144,444.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
