Software Development Engineer (Product-Led Growth)

 

The Opportunity

Seamless is hiring a Software Development Engineer focused on Product-Led Growth (PLG) to help make the product itself the primary driver of adoption, expansion, and revenue.

This is a senior, high-ownership role at the intersection of product, engineering, and growth. You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to design and build user journeys that guide customers from their first interaction with the product to long-term value.

Your work will directly influence activation, retention, and monetization by improving onboarding, simplifying workflows, and creating natural upgrade opportunities within the product experience.

As an early member of the growth engineering function, you will help establish the technical foundation and experimentation practices that future growth engineers will build on. This role reports into Product Engineering leadership and offers a path toward technical leadership as the team scales.

 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement onboarding experiences that help new users reach meaningful product value quickly
• Build and optimize core product workflows to increase repeat usage and habit formation
• Create natural upgrade and monetization moments within the product experience
• Ship and evaluate product experiments regularly using behavioral data to guide iteration
• Own growth initiatives end-to-end, from hypothesis creation through deployment and measurement
• Implement and maintain experimentation infrastructure including feature flags and instrumentation
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to turn growth hypotheses into shipped improvements
• Simplify complex workflows using automation, guided interactions, and thoughtful defaults
• Help establish scalable engineering patterns and growth experimentation practices

 

Skillset

• Senior full-stack engineering experience, ideally with a frontend focus on user-facing systems
• Strong experience building production applications using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Proven ability to improve onboarding, activation, retention, or self-serve product experiences
• Experience running product experiments including A/B testing and feature flag implementations
• Familiarity with analytics and experimentation platforms such as Amplitude and GrowthBook (or similar tools)
• Strong product instincts and ability to reason about user behavior, funnels, and product usage patterns
• Ability to ship quickly, measure outcomes, and iterate based on results
• Comfortable operating as an early, high-impact engineer in a fast-moving environment

 

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or full-stack development
• Experience building user-facing SaaS applications preferred
• Experience with experimentation frameworks or product analytics platforms strongly preferred
