As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Genesys, you’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of our backend services. Candidates for this role are strong programmers with solid Java skills (must-have) and the ability to learn new languages quickly. TypeScript experience is a plus. You’ll work closely with a core development team to design and maintain automated tests while collaborating with the broader QA organization to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
We emphasize Continuous Delivery with a QA Ops mindset, embedding test automation, monitoring, and quality engineering throughout development. This role offers the chance to work with technologies such as Jenkins, AWS, Docker, Groovy, TypeScript, TestNG, and Playwright while influencing how testing is carried out across teams.

3+ years of experience in Software Development in Test or Software Development.
Experience in Java (must-have) for building automation frameworks and test suites.
Familiarity with API testing frameworks and UI automation tools (e.g., Playwright, TestNG).
Hands-on experience with Agile software development practices.
You embody a QA Ops mindset and champion Continuous Delivery best practices.
You are curious, self-driven, and not afraid to ask questions
Work with senior SDETs and engineers to expand existing automation solutions and create new ones.
Write automated functional acceptance tests at the API level
Contribute as a delivery team member through Agile Scrum, representing testing and quality assurance concerns.
Designs document, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable automated tests under peer review to verify the functionality, accuracy, and performance of software changes across multiple platforms.
Review and analyze test outcomes, working with development teams to identify, isolate, and report defects effectively.
Participate in feature planning, ensuring quality considerations are integrated through a strong quality mindset.
Effectively adjust testing activities within a project to align with shifting priorities and team goals.
