Senior QA Automation Engineer (Java / Kotlin)

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with Kotlin (preferred) or Java knowledge. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, CI/CD infrastructure, and automated test cases. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest quality of our software product through the implementation of best practices in test automation.

Requirements:

Hard skills:

5+ years of proven experience in QA automation.

Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) or Java, including advanced language features.

Hands-on experience with:

-          Version control systems (GitHub / Bitbucket, etc)

-          API testing tools (Retrofit / Micronaut HTTP client / REST Assured, etc)

-          UI testing frameworks such as Selenium, Selenide, or Playwright; XPath knowledge

-          Understanding of test runners (JUnit / TestNG), build tools (Gradle / Maven)

-          CI/CD tools and processes (TeamCity / Jenkins)

-          Docker

-          Familiarity with DI frameworks (Micronaut / Spring, etc)  

-          Experience leveraging AI/LLM tools to enhance test automation processes

Soft skills:

-          Mentoring experience

-          High level of ownership and independence

-          Technical leadership with a continuous learning mindset

-          Problem-solving and analytical skills

-          Strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently identify and troubleshoot problems

-          Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team

-          Knowledge of QA methodology

-          Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English or higher

Good to have:

-          Understanding of test design, experience with test documentation creation and review

-          Familiarity with SQL and database testing

-          Experience with Hyper-V / VMware

-          Experience with Performance testing (Gatling)

-          Knowledge of GraphQL

Responsibilities:

-          Own the test execution strategy; analyse failures and improve automation stability (nightly runs / regression results checks)

-          Maintain and update existing API and UI test cases in line with project changes; ensure consistent and reliable page objects

-          Develop API automated tests using Kotlin + Retrofit/Micronaut + Jackson

-          Develop UI tests using Kotlin + Selenide / Playwright

-          Utilize Git for version control and collaborate with team members through pull requests and code reviews

-          Identify, document, and track issues through to resolution using JIRA

-          Develop API Performance tests

-          Develop and support complex framework features

-          Mentor Junior and Middle AQA engineers

-          Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and AQA infrastructure
