About the role


Do you enjoy working with different technologies such as Oracle, Informatica and Cloud tools (IICS, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) and in a collaborative environment? Do you like to contribute to adding value to company data? This is a great opportunity for you! We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who will integrate data from the company’s underwriting and billing systems into our warehouses and data marts.

 

What you'll do here:

 

  • Collaborate with the team and the other IT sectors to analyze, develop, test, and deploy solutions to maintain or integrate new business areas to our Oracle data warehouse and Snowflake migration.

  • Participate in designing and developing solutions to problems or small requests related to data integration and consumption on the data warehouse. 

  • Document implementation steps and produce quality evidence. Create and maintain system documentation.

  • Provide technical support to Business Intelligence analysts, testers, and deployment coordinators throughout our development cycle and for production support, typically during regular business hours. 

  • Provide estimates on developments to assist in planning.

 

Qualifications


What you bring to the table:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology / software engineering or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Strong experience with Snowflake databases & development.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Informatica IICS / Power Center.

  • Strong experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL programming.

  • Experience in data integration (data warehouse & data mart).

  • Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) techniques.

  • Experience with Data Vault and Relational Data Models.

  • Experience with Databricks is an additional asset.

  • Knowledge of insurance or financial sector will be advantageous. 

  • Assets: AWS S3, Lambda, JAVA, SAS Enterprise Guide, GIT, Jenkins, Business Objects and Power BI.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
