Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop big data solutions using Spark, Scala, and related technologies.
- Implement ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and process structured and unstructured data.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data quality and governance across all big data platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows and resolve issues proactively.
- Document processes, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong programming skills in Spark, Scala, Hive and Airflow.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data ecosystem.
- Expertise in Apache Spark for batch and real-time processing.
- Knowledge of streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Proficiency in SQL databases.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in big data development or data engineering roles
