TechnologyDrives the overall software development lifecycle including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, managing development teams and processes, and conducting software testing and maintenance. Specific project areas of focus includes translating user requirements into technical specifications, writing code and managing the preparation of design specifications. Supports system design, provides advice on security requirements and debugs business systems and service applications. Applies deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services - including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements.
Provide support for Agile development, operations, and maintenance of critical enterprise systems. Working within a DevOps model, you’ll contribute to—or lead—major project deliverables across the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
Demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning by exploring new technologies, staying current with tech trends, participating in internal and external engineering communities, mentoring teammates, and periodically reviewing or writing code.
Partner closely with architects and product managers to deliver scalable, cloud‑native solutions.
Design, develop, and integrate custom software solutions that leverage automated deployment processes, using Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence for activity tracking
Build and consume Web services, including both SOAP and REST
Knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline Development.
Familiarity with AWS CDK and an interest in expanding skills in infrastructure‑as‑code development.
Document and perform systems software engineering tasks, including deploying build artifacts across multiple environments using GitFlow principles and industry‑standard DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting.
Work with programming languages and tools such as Angular, JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration systems, and a broad set of AWS services.

2 + years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Node JS, Python, Angular
2+ years of experience using open‑source frameworks such as Angular or Spring
A foundational understanding of AI concepts and Copilot is a plus
2 + years of experience working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or another major cloud platform

$63,300.00 - $117,200.00Pay Type:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
