The Software Developer is responsible for independently designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications that support Full Sail University’s business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design and Development
- Design and Develop Software: Independently design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.
- Write and Optimize Code: Write and optimize clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.
- Contribute to System Design: Contribute to designing system architectures and software solutions, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software defects and issues efficiently.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that meet project goals.
- Follow Security Best Practices: Ensure that applications appropriately control access to sensitive resources.
- Ensure System Performance: Identify and implement performance improvements to ensure optimal user experience and system efficiency
· Software Development Lifecycle
- Create Comprehensive Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for software design, code, and processes.
- Conduct Code Reviews: Participate in and lead code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Implement Testing Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to ensure software quality.
- Engage in Agile Practices: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Provide User Support: Address and resolve user issues and provide technical support when needed.
· Growth
- Adopt Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices, applying them to enhance development processes.
