Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ETL / Informatica Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data integration solutions. This role partners closely with business analysts and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient ETL workflows and data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases across the organization.

Description

As an ETL / Informatica Architect at PNC, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data integration solutions. You will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to translate business requirements into scalable, highperformance ETL workflows and data movement architectures. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep experience with Informatica, and handson expertise across multiple database platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical ETL and data movement solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain Informatica workflows, mappings, sessions, and reusable components
  • Analyze and enhance existing data movement patterns to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Develop, analyze, and optimize database tables, views, and schemas to support downstream analytics and reporting
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Provide architectural guidance on ETL best practices, data standards, and performance tuning
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and rootcause analysis for data-related issues
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and governance standards

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Informatica (version 10.5.9), including advanced workflow and mapping design
  • Strong experience working with relational and analytical databases, including:
    • Oracle
    • Exadata
    • SQL Server
    • Teradata
  • Advanced SQL development and performance tuning expertise
  • Ability to analyze complex data flows and recommend architectural improvements

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience using Python for data processing, automation, or ETL enhancement
  • Exposure to enterprise data warehousing or large-scale data integration environments
  • Experience working within financial services or highly regulated industries
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
