Vienna, Austria (Hybrid)The role of the Software Architect for Embedded Systems is located in the department responsible for the development of ETCS Level 1 solutions. This product ensures the safely travel of thousands of trains every day and helps to provide a smooth train operation for our customer. This safety-critical, redundant and highly available system is further design and developed according to new customer requirements
You would take part in architectural design workshops, define the design and lead other colleagues in the execution of the development. You support colleagues and have the motivation to provide the best possible product and quality for our customers. You are responsible for architectural design and implementation new and existing software solutions for the product
Architecting a multifold system using cloud, servers, embedded devices, customer interfaces and graphical user interface
The design and development of SIL application written in C with high focus on quality, but also the timeline and costs
Writing detailed documentation in order to be able to follow all development steps
You communicate the development status and critical issues clearly in a short and concise format
Identification and implementation of improvements is part of your daily work
Close interwork within a team of up to 9 developers and testers
Completed technical degree (HTL, Uni, FH) in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
At least 5 years of experience and expertise in C development
You have working experience in the following areas:
Build & Deployment, e.g. GIT, Jenkins, Maven
Linux based environment
Experience in system hardening is highly beneficial
You have a competitive mindset, strong desire to “win” paired with a great team spirit
Fluency in English language, German skills are beneficial
The salary for this position starts at € 70.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
