The Role and Impact
As a Software Application Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting innovative software solutions that drive Intel's advanced manufacturing and automation processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with cross-organizational teams to implement systems in support of manufacturing processes while maintaining factory systems reliability

  • Own the implementation of releases; support other releases that have dependencies on their capability set.

  • Provide 3rd level operational support and training for factory customers, documenting application capabilities and enhancements

  • Contribute to multi-functional project teams to develop value add projects in the automation environment.

  • Train internal users on systems usage.

  • Work with peers and customers to define problem statements and feed change requirements to support development efforts

  • Analyze user stories and system requirements to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Develop scripted applications / tools, which improve daily operational performance - including metrics for applications/systems

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Computational Physics, or related engineering disciplines.

  • 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree OR

  • 3+ years of experience with a Master's degree, OR

  • 0 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Proficiency in two or more programming and scripting languages, such as Python, C++, C#, or Matlab.

  • Strong Communications Skill - Written and Oral

  • Strong Problem Solver with ability to methodically analyze and resolve technical challenges

  • Ability to take personal initiative / Self starter


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developer automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing methodologies.

  • 2+ years of experience working in semiconductor factories or related process domains.
