About This Opportunity
To perform basic level programming and testing activities in the development of software for train control systems of Hitachi Rail Signalling and Rail Solutions(SRS), achieving Customer Satisfaction of the delivered solution/product.
Key Accountabilities
Write automated tests and perform testing on the software code.
Reports the issues found during testing
Adjust the styling of the user interface elements to align with the pre-defined design.
Contribute to addressing clearly scoped, relatively low-complexity problems as part of a supervised team environment with opportunities to take more complex tasks overtime.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate should be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
Analysis skills, able to diagnose issues based on requirements and a pre-defined design schematics.
Able to quickly integrate with the team and work with some guidance
Practical experience in using typical programs which are part of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Web development of software (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, NodeJS) and desire to gain in more depth knowledge
Ability to work a 40-hour work week throughout the internship, following a hybrid work model with at least two days per week in the office.
Preferred Qualifications
Co-op student available for an 8–16 month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.
