Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced and high skilled Adult Social Worker to support out its client's locality teams in West Devon. This role requires a confident practitioner with strong legal literacy, proven leadership capability, and the ability to support both operational and supervisory functions within a busy adult social care environment.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Statutory assessments such as Care Act assessments, MCA assessments, Best Interest decisions, and Community DoLS work.
- Care and support planning that is strengths‑based, personalised, and focused on delaying or preventing escalating needs.
- Safeguarding adults, including identifying and investigating concerns and coordinating protective actions with partner agencies.
- Managing a varied caseload, supporting adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults with complex conditions.
- Multi‑disciplinary working with health services, community organisations, and care providers to deliver integrated, holistic support.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW.
- Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
- Experience: At least 5 years post-qualified experience and ASYE
- Legislation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Best Interest Decisions, CDoLS, and safeguarding procedures.
- Skills: Excellent assessment, analysis, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to a car is often required for community visits.
