Salary: £42,839 per annum rising to £44,074 after 12 months (Full time and Part time)

Liquid Personnel are in partnership with Knowsley to recruit a Social Worker within their Children with Disabilities Team Knowsley.

Merseyside Children’s Services is looking for dedicated professionals to join their CWD team. Following a recent Ofsted inspection, the department is on an improvement journey, and they are looking for practitioners who value a supportive, person-centered environment.
What will your responsibilities be?
As a Social Worker in the CWD team, you will provide specialist intervention for children and young people with moderate to profound disabilities and complex health needs.
- Assessments: Conducting Section 17 assessments and managing Child in Need (CiN) and Child Protection (CP) plans tailored to the child's disability.
- Support Planning: Coordinating short break provisions, direct payments, and specialist equipment.
- Multi-Agency Working: Collaborating closely with health professionals, education (including EHCP processes), and occupational therapists.
- Transition: Supporting young people as they transition toward adulthood and adult social care services.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Registration: Must hold a Social Work England registration.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Driving: Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Education: Social Work Qualification (degree or equivalent).
- Experience: At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services (experience within CWD or complex needs is highly desirable).
