We are currently looking for a Social Strategist to join our Berlin team. Feeling at home in the continually evolving social media landscape, you will be the one that the agency goes to to know about internet culture. You help inspire teams and clients by driving social media strategies informed by platform innovations, trends, communities and behaviours. You bring a strong PoV on formats and platforms and craft strategies in close collaboration with clients and media partners.

Located in Berlin Mitte, you will be an integral part of the AKQA Berlin strategy team, a multidisciplinary group spanning experience, product, brand, and comms planning, reporting into the Strategy Director. You will have access to our diverse network of specialists by collaborating across our twelve European studios. ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Finger on the pulse of culture, platforms, trends, communities and behaviours in the on-going education and inspiration of internal teams and clients.
  • Shape and implement social media strategies across regional and global clients as well as new business, ensuring these strategies strengthen client brands and seamlessly integrate with overall business and brand objectives.
  • Have a strong understanding of the German creator landscape. Develop and manage effective influencer marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Bring a German market perspective and strategic PoV to strengthen global client initiatives.
  • Guide content development in collaboration with creative and social teams.
  • Strengthen client partnerships in collaboration with internal agency teams.
  • Optimize strategies, identify growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations through qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Seek innovative approaches for clients’ brands and business on social
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across social networks to help fuel insights and innovations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • An insatiable curiosity and ability to observe and identify patterns, trends and insights
  • Proven ability to identify (social) trends and translate insights into actionable strategic frameworks, a strategic POV and creative briefs
  • 3-5 years’ experience in social strategy or as a creative strategist in-house or within a digital or integrated agency environment, including hands-on experience with influencer marketing and social listening methodologies.
  • A deep and nuanced understanding of German culture and social media trends, critical for crafting impactful and locally relevant strategies. German language proficiency is a plus.
  • A gifted factual storyteller with the ability to ground strategies in current culture and realities while anticipating future trends
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and inspire people.
  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with teams across other studio disciplines from creative to delivery teams
  • Ensure work is always to the highest possible standards, and that client presentations are engaging and inspiring.
