Do you want to help our iconic audio brands build a strong voice on social? We are looking for a full-time Social Media Manager to support our brand growth (JBL, Harman Kardon, InfinityLab) across EMEA. This role is part of the EMEA Brand Engagement and Shopper Marketing team, located in our EMEA HQ in Amsterdam.  Social Media Manager is the key role to drive pan-EMEA social strategy (both content creation & media placement) and oversee its implementation across the individual markets.

You combine your understanding of social media strategy with flawless execution. You understand Gen Z, social media creators and the youth culture landscape in Europe, particularly music, entertainment, and fashion. Your mature judgement and decision-making skills help you in managing the consistent brand image. You understand the consumer electronics industry and social innovation, spotting emerging trends and turning them into creative concepts. You are sensitive to cultural contexts and can be a true business partner to regional teams and agency partners. You are a natural collaborator, able to influence stakeholders within a complex organization. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment full of change since that’s the very nature of social.

What You Will Do:

  • Understanding the brands and translating brand strategy into social media strategy through content and media.
  • Developing the social media strategy across the EMEA region and overseeing its implementation across individual markets in collaboration with the local teams on brand and agency side.  
  • Manage social media strategy and campaigns, from agency briefing and supervising creative development to coordinating execution, localization, and post-campaign analysis, supporting our brand activities, new product launches, brand ambassadors and events.
  • Working closely with Global Team and supporting the EMEA implementation of global social media campaigns.
  • Leading day-to-day communication with the social and media agencies from yearly SOWs preparation and approval to day-to-day execution of activating, directly managing with your team social media agencies with teams between 5 and 20, facilitating their collaboration with each other and agencies from other marketing channels. 
  • Collaborating with the Media team and driving planning and executing brand & product campaigns and always-on paid media plans on various social platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, Twitter, innovation platforms).
  • Working with the Online Sales team on supporting lower funnel product-focused media campaigns in social, developing and implementing social selling strategies and tactics.
  • Driving alignment with other teams across our marketing organization: Product, PR & Influencer, Brand & Event teams, Customer Support & CRM team on executing social media activities.  
  • Supporting other functions across the organization on social campaigns and content: retailer and distributor teams, professional and automotive. 
  • Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, dashboard & budget management.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a marketing related area.
  • At least 6 years of experience in social & media. 
  • Hands-on experience with content creation, social advertising.  
  • Team management experience.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Speaking more than one European language
  • Agency (or agency management) experience 

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% 
  • Willingness to work in an office in Amsterdam 2-3 days per week.
