Progyny Is seeking a Social Media intern to join the team this summer. The Social Media Intern will support the execution and day-to-day operations of Progyny’s social media strategy. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive communicator who is interested in healthcare, women’s health, benefits, and digital brand building.

Working closely with the Senior Social Media Manager, the intern will assist with content publishing, community management, social listening, campaign support, and analytics reporting. This position provides hands-on experience contributing to a growing corporate social presence while helping scale systems that support long-term brand growth.

The program operates year-round, with a dedicated summer session starting June 2nd, 2026. Interns are expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What you’ll do...

  • Support consistent publishing across corporate, executive, and employee advocacy platforms.
  • Draft and edit social media content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels.
  • Repurpose existing content (blogs, press, webinars, reports) into engaging social posts.
  • Assist with social promotion for campaigns and key company milestones.
  • Monitor comments, mentions, and direct messages daily.
  • Draft brand-aligned responses and escalate sensitive inquiries when needed.
  • Identify recurring audience questions and trends to inform future content.
  • Pull and organize monthly performance metrics across platforms.
  • Track engagement, reach, follower growth, and top-performing content.
  • Maintain reporting templates and streamline data collection processes.
  • Help develop engagement workflows, response templates, and process documentation to support scalability.

About you...

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and Instagram best practices.
  • Proficient in SproutSocial & SproutSocial Listening, Instagram and LinkedIn platforms
  • Meta Business and LinkedIn Ad Manager proficiency a plus
  • Interest in healthcare, women’s health, fertility, or employee benefits is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in performance metrics and reporting.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the hourly salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $25.00/hour - $50.00/hour. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
