Our Arlington, Virginia office is seeking a Social Media & Digital Content Intern for Summer 2026.

Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Digital Content Intern to support our Mid-Atlantic Division Communications and Marketing team. This role is ideal for a student interested in storytelling, digital engagement, and brand-building through social and multimedia content.

The intern will help create, edit, and manage content across social media platforms while gaining hands-on experience in content planning, analytics, and brand strategy within a professional services environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
  • Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
  • Assists management in analyzing various data.
  • Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program

What You'll Bring:

  • Assist with creating social media content for platforms such as LinkedIn and internal channels including copy, graphics, short videos, and event highlights
  • Support development and management of a content calendar aligned with campaigns, events, recruiting, and thought leadership
  • Draft captions and post copy that reflect brand voice and messaging
  • Assist with light graphic design using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Support basic video editing for short-form content (Reels, stories, clips)
  • Monitor social media engagement and help compile simple performance metrics
  • Assist with internal coordination to gather content ideas, photos, and stories from teams and leaders
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and social media policies
  • Support special projects such as campaigns, events, awards announcements, and employee spotlights

What We Prefer:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Digital or Multimedia, Public Relations or relevant field
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative, organized and eager to learn
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Basic video editing experience (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
  • Familiarity with social media to scheduling or analytics tools (e.g. Metricool, Hootsuite)
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
