The Social Media & Insights Strategist is responsible for overseeing the organization’s social media presence and managing enterprise social listening, sentiment analysis, and digital brand protection programs. This role combines social media management with hands-on analytics and monitoring and serves as the organizational subject matter expert for online intelligence and brand protection tools.
The incumbent will manage the organization’s LinkedIn channel and content calendar while also leading insight generation, reporting, and issue monitoring using platforms such as, but not limited to, Meltwater and ZeroFox.
Who you'll work with
The Social Media & Insights Strategist will report to the Director, Marketing.
What you'll do
Social Media Management
Manage and maintain the organization’s social media presence, with primary responsibility for LinkedIn, YouTube and others as required (does not include Member Facebook).
Develop and manage the social media content calendar in alignment with organizational priorities.
Support the development and execution of social media content; proficiency in social media content development and writing is considered an asset.
Monitor social media performance metrics and recommend optimizations.
Social Listening, Insights & Reporting
Serve as the organizational lead and subject matter expert for social listening and monitoring (Meltwater).
Design, implement, and maintain social listening and sentiment monitoring programs, queries, dashboards and alerts.
Brand Protection & Digital Risk
In partnership with InfoSec, manage the organization’s social media and digital brand protection program (via ZeroFox).
Monitor and manage risks related to brand impersonation and misuse across digital platforms.
Collaborate with internal partners to mitigate identified risks and strengthen digital protection controls.
Produce regular and ad hoc reports providing analysis and insights on:
Organizational themes and narratives
Reputation and sentiment trends
Emerging issues and risks
Portfolio company–related topics
Translate monitoring data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Manages a broad mix of responsibilities across social media channel management, content planning, enterprise social listening, sentiment analysis, reporting, and digital brand protection.
Required to interpret large volumes of data, identify emerging issues and reputational risks, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for a wide range of internal stakeholders.
Operates in a fast-changing digital environment and requires strong judgment, prioritization, and adaptability to balance planned work with urgent, high-impact issues and ad hoc requests
Serve as the organizational lead and subject matter expert for social listening and monitoring (Meltwater).
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on the use and interpretation of social intelligence data.
In partnership with InfoSec, manage the organization’s social media and digital brand protection program (via ZeroFox).
Ensure compliance with brand standards, tone-of-voice, governance, and best practices.
Responsible for adhering to and ensuring compliance with the defined Social Media Governance policy.
The individual in this role will be able to leverage a hybrid work environment, with a combination of remote work and in-office presence as required.
Due to the real-time nature of social media, monitoring, and digital risk management, the incumbent may be required to work outside regular business hours and perform overtime to respond to emerging issues, urgent requests, or reputational risks.
What you'll need
University/College degree or professional certificate in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in social media management, media monitoring, digital insights, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience managing corporate social media channels, with strong knowledge of LinkedIn and YouTube.
Hands-on experience with social listening, sentiment analysis, and media intelligence tools, particularly Meltwater.
Strong analytical, reporting, and insight-generation skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize data for stakeholders.
Knowledge of brand governance, digital risk, and reputational monitoring; experience with digital brand protection platforms such as ZeroFox is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Experience in a media agency environment, particularly in monitoring, analytics, or technical roles, is considered an asset.
