Social and Community Manager

Los Angeles Full Time

Social and Community Manager

Location:Playa Vista, CA (in-person, 5 days/week)

Launch is becoming routine. Returning payloads from orbit is not. We’re building reusable vehicles that bring materials and products safely back to Earth, unlocking in-space manufacturing, rapid global delivery, and entirely new industries.

At Outpost, you’ll own systems end-to-end, turning ideas into hardware, running tests, solving hard problems, and watching what you built move toward orbit.

We move fast and push each other to do our best work. The problems are hard, the mission matters, and the team around you makes it worth it. And when the day ends, you’re in Southern California, with surf in the morning, mountains on the weekend, and the center of the modern aerospace industry right outside the door.

The Role

Outpost is hiring a Social & Community Manager to help shape how our story shows up across the global space industry. You will own the rhythm of our social presence, turning engineering progress, launches, and company milestones into clear, compelling stories while engaging directly with the operators, founders, and builders driving the future of space.

Working closely with Marketing/Comms, Design, and technical teams, you will ensure Outpost shows up with a credible, high-signal voice in the conversations shaping space infrastructure. You will run the editorial calendar, stay plugged into the ecosystem, and engage thoughtfully with leaders across aerospace and defense, building real relationships while keeping our channels sharp, timely, and relevant.

If you enjoy spotting the story inside technical work and thrive in fast-moving industries, this role gives you a front-row seat to help shape the narrative around the next era of space.
