Protiviti is looking for a SOC Manager to join our growing Managed Security Services team.

As a Manager, you’ll partner with our clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions. You’ll develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery. You’ll foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Consultants and Senior Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plan.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?
The SOC Manager is responsible for leading the SOC team. They direct SOC operations and are responsible for syncing between Protiviti leadership, analysts and clients; hiring; training; and creating and executing on security strategy. They also direct and orchestrate the SOC’s response to major security threats.
The SOC Manager has a high visibility role and requires a strong technical leader with outstanding client-facing skills capable of planning and executing to meet well defined objectives. The SOC Manager is responsible for hiring and training SOC staff, supervising the day-to-day activities of the team, and in charge of defensive and offensive strategy. Additionally, they manage resources, priorities and projects, and manages the team directly when responding to business-critical security incidents and is the client’s point of contact for security incidents, compliance, and other security-related issues.
Lead 24x7x365 delivery team, foster innovation, and drive accountability within SOC engineering.
Be a thought leader in security engineering and operations delivery.
Oversee technical delivery, assessing and continually improving output and ensuring processes are developed and adhered to in order to drive operational excellence.
Provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities
Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the infrastructure and systems.
Participate in quarterly business reviews with vendors and customers.
Manage and maintain relationships between Security Operations Centers, vendors, and customers.
Manage the implementation, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all managed systems, operating systems, hardware, and software.
Establish operational foundations, defining metrics and KPIs to drive governance, quality, and efficiency. Influence and improve existing processes through innovation and operational change.
Manage staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
Develop and maintain an educational environment where the knowledge and performance of the group is constantly advancing.
Develop and mentor staff through open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation.
Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university Information Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Engineering or similar area of study
8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
5+ years Security/Security Operations leadership, with experience building long-term career development plans for team members at all levels.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and ITIL are strongly preferred
Experience in designing, implementing and measuring relevant security and technology management critical success factors, key performance indicators, and metrics.
Exceptional operational rigor with extensive real-world experience in SOC methodologies and frameworks for IT operations.
In-depth knowledge of modern security concepts and how to apply them.
Demonstrated understanding of Information Security and Networking required.
Previous management and project leadership experience required.
High attention to detail as it relates to documentation, communication, and QA activities
Highly proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from the Americas Delivery Center in our Blue Ash, OH location and/or from a remote location such as your residence. Dependent on the engagement or project parameters, you may be required to work onsite at the ADC up to 100% of the time. Generally, it is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$97,000.00 - $156,000.00Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.
8%The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.
$104,760.00 - $168,480.00Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
